September 19, 2017 - Berlin - door2door has received funding for its project „allyMAP“ (ally Mobile Analytics Platform) from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) as part of the research initiative mFUND. With mFUND, the BMVI supports the development of data-based applications for the mobility 4.0, providing grants in total of 100 million Euros until 2020.

allyMAP is a research project which is of major importance to door2door’s on-demand mobility platform. It serves as a data analysis tool, gathering information from various data sources and providing this information to assess the demand and supply of a transportation infrastructure. Through allyMAP, cities, public transport operators etc. can simulate the impact of a ridesharing service in their region and optimize the integration of ridesharing solutions into their existing infrastructure.

The founders of door2door, Dr. Tom Kirschbaum and Maxim Nohroudi, submitted the mFUND application to the BMVI together with the Innovationslabor GmbH and experienced company builder and business angel Alexander Piutti in August 2016. “The Innovationslabor with founder and CEO Pablo Berger were an especially strong and experienced partner in the time-consuming process” door2door writes in their online blog.

Alexander Piutti says that he “was happy to connect the dots and is glad to see that innovators as door2door get significant funds, to actually execute their vision. Great news also for Berlin as an attractive ecosystem and growing tech-hub in Europe.”
