Privacy.

We treat your data responsibly, sparingly and transparently. This page explains which data we collect and why, in line with the GDPR. This is a translation for your convenience; the German version is legally binding.

1 · Controller

Controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

IL Innovationslabor GmbH
Thaerstraße 27a
10249 Berlin
Phone: +49 (0)30 311 69 06 60

2 · Collection of general information when you visit our website

When you access our website, our hosting provider automatically stores information in server log files: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, IP address of the accessing computer, date and time. This data is evaluated to ensure the trouble-free operation of the website and to improve our offering. It is not merged with other data sources.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a properly functioning website).

3 · Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by e-mail, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, are stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

4 · Embedded maps (OpenStreetMap)

On the contact page we embed a map from the third-party provider OpenStreetMap (OSM) to show our location. The map is loaded only once you allow external content (cookie notice, category "External content", or the "Activate content" button on the map). Only then is data (including your IP address) transmitted to servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. More information at wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

5 · Cookies and Google Analytics (only with consent)

The technically necessary functions of this website work without tracking cookies. On your first visit we ask you whether you wish to allow external content (embedded map) and statistics (Google Analytics); you can choose both separately or allow only what is necessary. Your decision is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so that the notice does not appear on every visit; this information does not leave your device. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

If you consent to analytics, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We use it to evaluate the use of the site (e.g. content viewed, time spent, anonymised clicks on links and buttons). Google Analytics uses cookies for this purpose; the information generated is transmitted to and stored on Google servers, which may involve a transfer to the USA.

It is used exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). Without your consent, Google Analytics and the associated cookies are not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Measurement ID: G-WJJ41224XB. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

6 · Your rights

  • Access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Complaint to the competent supervisory authority; in Berlin: the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information

7 · Retention period

We store your data for as long as is necessary to provide our services or to fulfil statutory retention obligations (e.g. up to 10 years under commercial and tax law). Enquiries that do not lead to a mandate are deleted after 12 months at the latest, unless you have consented to further storage.

8 · Changes to this privacy policy

We adapt this privacy policy when the legal situation, the scope of functions or the third-party providers used change. The current version published on this page applies.
